Help and Support
Help and support
Psoriasis is a challenging condition to live with, no matter how mild or severe the symptoms, but as discussed throughout this site, it doesn’t have to stop you from leading the life you choose.
At times we all need to call upon loved ones for extra support, but charities and patient associations are also able to offer further help and information in relation to your psoriasis.
As highlighted, advice and support can of course also be found from your healthcare professional (nurse, GP or dermatologist) and they should be the first port of call to discuss the available treatments that may be able to help manage your condition as effectively as possible.
If you find that you would benefit from more than just a one off visit, and regular day-to-day help and advice would help you to manage and take control of your condition, a specialist psoriasis patient support programme is available for those living with psoriasis in the UK.
This support programme, 'Touch’, provides personalised support and useful information to address the physical and emotional impact that psoriasis can have on your life.
If you are interested in finding out more about this programme, you can pick up an enrolment form from your local pharmacist or GP, register online at www.touchpsoriasis.co.uk or call a FREE phone ‘Touch’ general enquiries number: 0800 0740 915.
